Han Quan is a Singaporean keyboardist composer who enjoys performing and improvising. He studied composition under Dr Zechariah Goh at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and graduated top of his cohort with a Diploma in Music (Distinction) in 2017.
Han Quan’s compositional inspirations come from harmony, sound and their sonic effects. He is adept in communicating his ideas and inherent emotions through a wide range of idioms. Han Quan was a featured composer in the Young Composers’ Forum 2016 organised by the Composers’ Society of Singapore, and some of his works have been read by the NAFA Orchestra.
Apart from composing, Han Quan is also an accomplished Electone player, representing Singapore in the Asia-Pacific Electone Festival (various countries) from 2013-6 and the Yamaha Electone Concours (Japan) in 2014 and 2016. He is a strong Electone advocate and has held numerous appreciation sessions for the public.
