Lim Han Quan specialises in composing tuneful melodies with rich, evocative and emotional harmonies, and is adept in communicating his ideas and inherent emotions spanning a wide range of musical idioms, including popular music. His compositional inspirations come from harmony and their sonic effects.
Han Quan was a featured composer in the Ensemble de la Belle Musique’s “Christmas Concert 2018”. Apart from composing, Han Quan’s multi-faceted abilities have earned him accolades, such as the prestigious Ngee Ann Kongsi Gold Medal for the graduating cohort of 2017 at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, and representing Singapore in many local and overseas Electone Festivals from 2013 to 2016.
In his free time, Han Quan can be usually found searching for music that inspires him. He strongly believes that music can be used to touch people’s hearts, and he is on a personal “mission” to spread the joy of music to as many people as possible.
